Est 1943 - 2023

The Wendy Treadwell (Harcourts) sponsored business house bowls 2024 tournament began mid January.

The round robin has been completed and now we are into the cup and plate sections.  The winner of week 1, post section, overall was Temuke Torbay.  However, the leaders in the Cup section is the Browns Bay Fishing Club#1 team, with Temuke Torbay leading the Plate section.  Past winners No Ushers and Crackerjacks are down the leaderboard but the ladies of Bowled and Beautiful are near the top of the board.

But none of that matters as Tim of Redlite Rebels said "The Redlite juggernaut moves on with a great head of steam and we will have both (Business House) trophies in our cabinet by the end of the tournament"  Now there is a target on their back.  Go and shoot 'em down.

A brilliant fancy dress night coming up this Wednesday with some great effort put in last year we want to see more of this this year.  GO the Droopers.

Finals, round two shockers 28 February 2024

Some of the dress for the fancy dress evening were shocking, but not as bad as some of the results.  Photos in the Gallery section.

In the Cup section recent winners No Ushers and Crackerjacks are history.  Redlite Rebels who’s skip, Tim, last week predicted a rolling juggernaut for Redlite were dicked 11 – 1 in their first game.  The winners of that game were themselves beaten by a similar score in their second game, no names mentioned Simmo!  The Bowled and the Beautiful, while well dressed for the occasion also look like they have done their dash for the season.  BBFC #1 are the team to beat with 4 teams chasing them and Bay City Bowlers the one to look out for.

In the Plate section last weeks winners Temuke Torbay found that flower power was no power at all losing both games and now out of contention.  Jack Attack jumped from 5th to 1st place and Hapukas moved up one to 2nd.  The Ditch Bitches was also a big mover on the night moving up into contention along with Unbelievable and Slammers.  So again all to play for on the last night.

Thanks again to Harcourts and Wendy Treadwell
