Sad news - Keith Williams
It was with sadness we were informed of the passing of Keith Williams on Monday 12th October after a lengthy illness.
Keith joined the Browns Bay Bowling Club in 1977, a fact which placed him firmly in the forefront of long time Club Membership.
Keith carried with him a fund of stories and much information about the Club from those many years. By his own admission he preferred the less formal, over the more competitive aspects of Bowls. However, up until the mid-90’s, he would often be found enjoying himself amongst convivial company on the green.
He served time on both the Club Executive and the various Sub Committees, and for many years was heavily involved with numerous Social and Catering tasks.
His help in the bar, even in these latter and more difficult times, was always very much appreciated.
Our Sympathies are with Pam and family. The Memorial Service held for Keith at the club on Monday 19th October was a fitting way to farewell such a great long time member. Thanks to Doug Bishop for representing us all on the day.
