Yes I was struck down during the week by a bad case of the man flu, lucky to still be breathing, or J is lucky I am still breathing. You ladies don’t know how lucky you are not having had the man flu. Mind you not as tough as when we were kids, just refer to “The Four Yorkshiremen” skit of Monty Python fame. Now that was tough!
Well other than sinking one of our navy vessels this week it has been a quiet week. I will not lower myself to that of others who are pointing fingers at the skipper. It wasn’t her fault after all. Never let it be said I’m sexist (or racist, or misogynist, or religious, or narcissistic – is that the right spelling- or anything else). I’ll leave all that for Donald. No not Duck, Trump.
The economy is still in the crap and I’m sure that after an extended Labour government they’ll point the finger at National for the slight increase in the national debt. Boring, heard it before, blah, blah, blah. But did you see good old Whinny is well up in the polls. Him and Jonesy still have it for a lot of people and they are a great counter to the morons on the other side.
Then there is the Marokopa fugitives. Probably gone on long enough now but how much time, energy and cost does the state put in to finding this group. Is someone trying to write a book, or tv deal or ??? I think at the end of the day its just interesting because it is a finger up to officialdom. When its all over how will the kids be. I am sure all the hand wringing lefty do gooders will be calling for the noose for poor old dad.
And while I don’t generally mention bowls I can’t help with a big “BLOODY WELL DONE” to Lin and Lloyd in winning the NZ “young” Masters mixed pairs event on Friday.
